On January 4th the Philoptochos assisted with the cutting of the Vasilopita. Many people were thanked for their voluntary services throughout the year. Thank you, a great job.

On February 1st, our next tray collection is for the St. Photios Shrine. The Ladies of Philoptochos would like to thank the community of St. Sophia for their donations. With hard times upon us, the donations are still generous. Thank you.

Please join us for our next meeting on Tuesday, February 10th, Board Meeting at 6 p.m. and General Meeting at 7 p.m. Tina Karlaftis and Tina Marathakis will be hosting the coffee hour.

March 7^th is the Third Saturday of Souls. We will be once again sponsoring a Lenten Luncheon, hosted by Vickie Lembesis and Tina Marathakis. This luncheon over the years has continued to grow. Please make an effort to join us.

March 8^th is Sunday of Orthodoxy. Please remember to bring your icon. Also that day Dolores Bachandouris will start collection money for the Epitaphio Flower Collection.

Let's start that spring cleaning early!!! Philoptochos is sponsoring the Bake Sale/Garage Sale once again. The Garage Sale is early (April 4th) due to American Easter. This date is chosen so the Bake Sale can be held the day before the American Palm Sunday. It has been shown to be very profitable to have it this day. So, ladies, clean out your attics, basements, cabinets, and drawers. We will also need your baked goods, and Dora Mokhiber's team will be contacting you.
