We also enhanced and reprinted our cookbook Greek Treasures. We were featured in the local paper, Times Union, for this great cookbook. The sales are going very well and our reputation through this publication is noticed by the community at large.

At our June 10^th end-of-the-year meeting our ladies discussed and voted:

A committee was formed re: Long-Range Mission and Philanthropic endeavors to be presented for recommendation at our Fall meeting;
Purchase of school supplies and back-pack for each student at St. Basil’s Academy to be given shortly after Labor Day.

I take this opportunity to thank the Philoptochos Board who provided and served a buffet dinner at the June 10^th meeting.

The Philoptochos Board will be working on the upcoming season’s calendar this summer which will include most of the above, a Fashion Show, Garage Sale/Bake Sale, a dinner commemorating our 80^th Anniversary, and so much more.

Speaking of the above, our Garage Sale/Bake Sale was again a huge success. Our profit will ensure our generous giving to the above-mentioned charities and philanthropic organizations.
